Drawing Research Residency

The first 5 weeks of the drawing residency are spent at DRAWinternational - a research centre for postgraduate art education and professional practice, based in the small medieval village of Caylus in the south-west province of Tarn-et-Garonne, France. The centre was established by John and Grete McNorton, who host the artists at their studios and home, where they have been for the passed 16 years.

The program fosters artistic research and expands notions of drawing, with an emphasis on intention as well as the physical act of drawing, opening up the possibilities of

opportunity to extend professional practice through cultural exchange
